What price are you willing to pay for beauty?

12€? 120€? 1200€? ... what if it costs a thousand lives?

That's right, in order for people to use their make-up and beauty products millions of animals suffer cruel tests on labs maintained behind bars just living to get applied several ingredients in their skin, eyes, tongue, etc which cause them a lot of pain and sometimes they even get the final mix of ingredients which is a lot worst, this being the most painful of the tests.
Can you live with that price in your conscious? Can you live knowing that animals which should be living their lives in their natural habitat are in fact living in a lab without never see the light of the day?

Maybe people think there's nothing that they can do but it is a lie. Some just prefer the easy way, to say "what a horrible thing to do" and go on with their life's. Well, I can't live a lie, I can't live knowing that cruel human beings are sub-judging other animals.

Organized groups like ALF free these animals from the cages in secret and not legal operations and ask people to do the same. In Italy, in a regular day activists and people in general invaded a lab where hundreds of beagles were cruel being used in tests.
But maybe some people don't have the time or the courage to do that. To these people i ask at least don't buy any beauty product in supermarkets or perfumeries, places where 90% of the products or 100% are tested on animals. On the contrarie buy them online at non cruel shops. This isn't difficult to do is it? Is there too much to ask?

Ask me for non-cruel brands. I will gladly help you. Why? Just because I don't believe my life is more important than other's animals lives and I believe that we must speak out for those who cannot speak for themselves.

The other big question is: are non-cruel beauty products made with natural ingredients effective? I can tell you in the first person that I have used both. In the past when I wasn't aware of tests conducted in animals I used cruel brands. I thought the transition would be difficult for my skin, that cruelty-free products would not make the desired effect.
I was wrong, natural products are so or as much effective as cruel one's.
I felt my skin more healthy than ever and there are products for all age groups and skin types. I can tell you there are successful products used by celebrities which make a lifting to your skin for just 180€ a bottle.
Just to say that this thought is no longer an excuse for those who need one. Lack of time isn’t an excuse either because you can shop online. Price?  No way, you can find non-cruelty products for every purse!

So. let's do what's right and just buy cruelty-free!

I am counting on you. Share your stories with me about how you accomplished this mission :)

Cruel Supermarkets, Markets and Stores

In the past when i went to the supermarket i tried to find a cruelty-free toothpaste, shampoo, gel wash, soap, depilatory wax, etc.

In time i learned that no beauty or personal product at the supermarket is cruelty-free.
The same about companion animal care and general household care.

Then i have found the same about perfumeries and that natural products providers (ex: Body Shop) start being bought by Cruel Companies (ex: L'Oreal). At this point i understood that everything is organized for us to be cruel. The remain question is why.

As someone told me there are three things difficult to change: " the power of money, women's vanity and men's stupidity".

If you think that you are being manipulated just in the supermarket, you're wrong. Take a good look at your cloth and your computer. You will find "made in China" even if you are boycotting China.

Why don't Europe and U.S.A. forbid China, Japan and Korea to provide them anything until they haven't cruel conducts? why aren't supermarkets obligated to provide also sections of cruelty-free products? Because that does not give them money. And it is all about money.

Until people demand it, they won't care.
There is no need to be an activist for human, animal or Planet rights to be a good citizen. As part of being a good citizen is also the duty of stop buying cruel products and start demanding non-cruel one's.

If we all stop buying right now and compromise looking at PETA's list before buying anything we are moving forward a successful future.

You will find in this PETA's link a section at your right named "Search for cruelty-free companies and markets". Please use this link before you buy shoes, cloth, food, personal care products, etc. Certify yourself that you buy only what is respectful towards your Planet and all living animals.
Remember that you can find the same coat or toothpaste at a non-cruel company but you will never be able to replace a human or animal life...

A store is being created for you in this area too. Soon you will find several products you daily need in here. They all belong to Cruelty-Free Companies listed in PETA.

See you in the next post!

An activist at the Supermarket

It's crazy to shop at local stores, you just find cruel brands and companies, it is like being in the center of the animal torture universe!

Murdered animals everywhere, cheap and cruel cosmetics made with animal suffering and human beings exploitation, biologic yogurt's that belong to cruel  companies, garlic from China! i mean, as an activist, i feel nausea's from being there!

If you check each product you will see that some of the vegetables and fruits come already from Countries like China, Japan or Korea, the worst ever in animal and human being exploitation. Also, if you pay attention you will see these two top brand monsters everywhere: Unilever and Proctor & Gamble.

If you think a brand does not conduct tests on animals just because it said so you're wrong. You will have the biggest surprise ever when you check PETA's list. I gave you some examples: Nivea, Caudalie (in pharmacies) and L' Occitane stated their worries and ethics but they conduct tests. How do you explain L'Occitane making products with natural ingredients, with respect for nature, selling their products to China and saying they have nothing to do with the tests on animals they conduct there? Zero tolerance for all of them.

I say we buy nothing, zero from these brands. I say we just shop vegetables, fruit and vegetarian food at the supermarket. The other things if you don't have a cruelty-free market around my advice is to buy online.
It's easy and you will feel good by doing the right thing.

For things to change, Countries must have strong laws to protect animals, supermarkets must be ethic and provide non-cruelty brands but this only will happen if people stop buying, ask local stores to have other brands, stop eating meat and do an effort to became a vegetarian.

Do you have a cruelty-free supermarket where you live?
what do you do daily to stop cruelty on animals and change the world for better? Share it! your actions will certainly contribute to keep all of us activists inspired

See what’s new!

That is why

As an activist and consumer is not always easy to shop around.

I find myself asking: where can i buy non-cruelty products? why is it so difficult to find brands that respect animals in the supermarket? where can i easily find everything in the same place? or, is this brand still reliable?

In here, i am going to tell you in the first person the answers to these questions.
I am going to shop with you, provide you all the required information and even compare which product is better and why.

We also will have recent news in this field, celebrities that support animal welfare and freedom, delicious recipes, a store with cruelty-free & natural products and an ads area. Feel free to explore them all!

This space is ours, lets have fun helping the animals!
