Christmas's wishlist

Christmas should be everyday in our hearts and in our life's.
If we carry unconditional love, peace and charity in our actions then we can say that we celebrate it everyday.
It is a time for we to reflect in what it really matters for us. For me, my beloved one's, charity and contributing to end the suffering of any animal or human being are the most important things

Therefore, this month i have made more donations to animal charity, i have sent more words of joy and encouragement to person's in need and ended any action that might cause suffering to animals or person's.

We can do that, we can manage our actions so they can't harm other's: by not eating meat we are putting an end to all the animals that are murdered everyday on slaughterhouses, by not buying any cloth/accessory with fur or leather we are saying no to the animals that are kept alive in tiny cages and confined to a horrendous short life just for their skin, by boycotting all the brands that harm animals we are saying no to animals tests and their suffering, by just buying cruelty-free products from this approved list we are ending animals hell in Earth.
It's just too simple to be true but it is.

In fact, my wishlist for this year is that everyone start doing these simple things which can really change the World. I believe this is the Christmas's wishlist of the animals too.
And my pets would add a big bone, lots of caring and walks with their human best friend and love, just the same unconditional love they have for us.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Where did you go?

10 of December of 2012

Today has been one month since i last saw you. I can feel you, i can imagine you, even dream of you but i cannot see you and this is very hard.

The hardest thing is not knowing for sure if we will ever meet again, not knowing for sure if you still alive, not knowing for sure if you still around me. I believe you are.
When a person you love or animal dies, you wonder where did he went.

There are several religions and beliefs which carry a theory, an explanation but the best one is the one you believe in to be true. No one can tell you for sure because we are all humans with our own experiences which make us believe in something. And others may not understand them and that is ok.  We don't need other's approvals to our beliefs.

I have met some Jehovah's friends who according to them we sleep when we die until God remember us and give us life again if we behaved right . According to them animals aren't mentioned in the Bible and one of them even said that there are a lot of animals and there is no space to bring them all to life. Well, there are a lot of humans too, why are our life's more important then other's animals? I have told them that I can still feel my dog around me, that he gave me several signs that he is here and according to them, again, all contact with spirits is Evil! The bible say that all persons who are in some way in contact with spirits or spiritual are serving the Devil. Guess what, in the Inquisition time people were burned alive and called witches, are these times we still living? Who wrote the Bible? Men inspired by God.. and we all know that in past times Church and Politics unified themselves not to serve People but to control them and serve their interests.. So did men changed the Bible, rewrite the Bible, changed some info to their own purposes? why not? Religion it is one of the main causes of war nowadays. Shouldn't all religions unify us and not turn us apart? Shouldn't it be enough for us to believe in charity, in good actions and live an honorable life? i have been raised as a Christian and i don't go well with any kind of obsession which turn us against each other.

I believe in my Heart that animals and persons turn into Spirits, that they live in a Paradise and there lies the real life because the lives we are living here are just a short passage, a sort of a test.

Dingo was and still is in our hearts, in our lives. I can feel him so can my other two dogs. I am hurt by the way he left but he wasn't here to serve me but to be my best friend. I learned so much with him.Wish all humans could respect and learn with animals who are magnanimous in everything they are.

With love to Dingo

Dingo still and will always be around :)

Here lies an article from Animal Cruelty-Free Exposed:

" If you have ever suffered the loss of a beloved pet, you might have wondered at some point if you would ever meet up with your close friend again. You are not alone with such thoughts. One of the most frequently asked questions online is, “Do pets go to heaven?”
Christianity holds that every living being, from the tiniest insect to the largest whale, has a chance at entering the pearly gates. Psalm
145:-9-10,13,15-21 reads, “God loves all His creation and has made plans for all His children and the lesser creatures to enjoy His eternal Kingdom.”

Don’t expect to see your favorite individual plant in heaven, however. That’s because the Book of Genesis suggests all animals have souls, but plants do not. Genesis 1:30: “To every animal of the earth, and to every bird of the heavens and to every creeping thing on the earth, in which is a living soul, every green plant is given for food.”

According to Rabbi Howard Jaffe of Temple Har Shalom in New Jersey, the attitude of Judaism towards the afterlife might be summed up as, “We really do not know, but if there is a life after this one, and a reward for what we do, then surely it will be dependent upon the kind of life we have lived — therefore, let us strive to follow God's path for us as closely and as enthusiastically as possible, for then we will surely know all manner of rewards, especially the one of seeing a world that is a better place for our efforts.” Religious texts hold that Yahweh, the god of Israel, did bestow the breath of life into the animals that flourished in the Garden of Eden, suggesting that each non-human animal too can
become nephesh, or a “living soul.”

Islam, however, takes a different view. As Hazrat Mirza Tahir Ahmad explained at The London Mosque, “Every animal does not have options to do good deeds and bad deeds, so there is no examination for them. Their souls are not preserved, moreover, they are not fully developed and mature, because what is soul, after all, without consciousness.”

Buddhists regard animals as sentient beings capable of feeling suffering. According to the Mahayana school, animals possess what is known as “Buddha nature,” and may then become enlightened similar to the way that humans can within this belief system. Nevertheless, animals are thought to inhabit a distinct “world,” called Tiryagyoni in Sanskrit, which is separated from humans not by space, but by a state of mind. The doctrine of rebirth additionally holds that any human can be reborn as an animal, and any animal may be reborn as a human, reinforcing the inter-connectivity of all life.

Archaeological finds show that, before these and other more modern religions emerged, numerous ancient societies also believed in an all-inclusive afterlife. Mummified dogs, cats and other animals, for example, are frequently found in early Egyptian tombs. If a master died, it’s thought that his or her pets, not to mention servants, were killed in order that they could all remain together in the afterlife.

Lifespan was generally shorter in those days, so sacrificing a short time on Earth for the sake of an eternal existence must have seemed worthwhile.

A phenomenon that has been studied by both religious scholars and scientists is “near death experience.” Many people who have come close to death have reported seeing a bright light, moving down a tunnel, reliving memories (including ones involving pets), and feeling as though they were outside of their own body, watching themselves.

Kevin Nelson and a research team at the University of Kentucky analyzed data on over 13,000 Europeans and found that almost 6 percent had experienced such an out-of-body experience.

Nelson and his colleagues suspect that this occurs in the brain’s arousal system, which regulates different states of consciousness, including REM sleep and wakefulness. "We found it surprising that out-of-body experience with sleep transition seemed very much like out-of-body experience during near death," Nelson said. While no research, to my knowledge, has yet proved that non-human animals also have these experiences, my guess is it’s possible, due to brain structure similarities.

Beyond such out-of-body experiences, if you really want to have a mind-blowing moment, and be fully with it at the time, investigate a physics concept called string theory. Some individuals who work in this field envision our universe as having at least nine spatial dimensions, six of which they think are hidden and undetectable from us. The reality we experience, according to this view, happens to consist of three dimensions.

Andreas Karch, a University of Washington assistant professor of physics, and Lisa Randall, a physics professor at Harvard, modeled
how the universe was arranged right after the big bang. To make an extremely long story short, they believe the math points to other realities, either three- or seven-dimensional, which could be hidden from our perception in the universe, Karch said, "There are regions that feel 3D. There are regions that feel 5D. There are regions that feel 9D. These extra dimensions are infinitely large. We just happen to be in a place that feels 3D to us.”

In terms of physical evidence, Fido’s bodily remains may literally push up daisies, but the story is more complicated than that.

Rene Severijnen, a pediatric surgeon at Radboud University Nijmegen Medical Center in the Netherlands, and with Ger Bongaerts, a biochemist and microbiologist also at Radboud. They believe there may be a state of being between life an death, “best defined as ‘resting life,’” Severijnen said.

Additionally, the basic building blocks of all life—atoms—don’t normally die at all. "The death of an atom means that matter is converted to energy," according to Bongaerts. "This happens during an explosion of a nuclear fusion bomb."

Although growth, metabolism and other bodily processes stop as soon as the body dies, "the degradation processes go on and may even increase" In the end, he says, all the complex compounds are degraded again to the smallest compounds, such as water, carbon dioxide and ammonia. These compounds may then fuel other organisms, and never die at all.

As you can see, religion, physics, chemistry and other disciplines address the big questions, such as “Do pets go to heaven?” from
slightly different angles. All offer hope that there is meaning, order and significance to life, and therefore death.

Faith and belief also hold their own power over us, which has been demonstrated in many scientific studies. When British veterinarian and author James Herriot, known for his All

Creatures Great and Small stories, was asked if animals join their human friends in an afterlife, he replied, “I do believe it. With all my heart I believe it.”

I have the most challenging dog in the all World!

15 of October of 2012

I already had two dogs and did not intend to have more but Tudora came to us like an angel, invaded our lives and showed us that we were wrong when thinking we were experts on dogs behavior.

I found her lying on a step of a gate without hope, waiting to be taken to another world where animals are angels in heaven ..

She was skin and bone and did not struggled when I caught and wrapped her in my coat.

She was very scared and bite my hands lightly.
I took her home, gave her a bath and fed her.
I left her two days resting in the kitchen with the other dogs nosing curious the kitchen door.

When she gained confidence she gnawed two sofas and did not allow my other two dogs  to come near me.

She was and is the most challenging dog I have ever had.
She needs to do a lot of exercise daily in order to be calm and she need to have strong rules and limits.
She is the sweetest, bravest and loyal dog  but without rules it could be chaotic.

Remember, dogs need to do exercise.

There are low, medium and high energy dogs.

Find the right dog for you and remember when you are going crazy that it is all your fault.

If you want your dog to behave right, teach him, show him what you want.

He may not understand your words but he does understand your acts and what you feel.

Always keep calm and assertive!

Portuguese activists need your help!

As a Portuguese activist i could not fail to ask here for your special help to sign the petitions cited below.

Although Portugal belong to the European Union, my Country is going through a series of political and socio-economic problems that have nothing favored treatment towards animals.
If before the animals were not respected, much less now.

Cases of animal abuse by their owners are left open by a system that does not work and does not fulfill its obligations. The fulfillment of duties in public kennels, veterinary municipal, police and municipal regions is virtually nil this depending on the good faith and will of the persons occupying these positions.
Without supervision, activists are struggling against a law which still considers animals as mere objects and worse, with a system that does not even fulfills the law and where justice does not work.

By present events are many the people who are afraid to exercise their rights, manifesting, fearing future reprisals.

For this reason and because few are giving voice to animal fighting in Portugal, we need to cross borders and this is where your help is very precious.

Actually those who fight for the animal cause do it anywhere, where animals are in need.So I ask you all to sign and share these petitions:

Petition against animal mistreating in Esposende Council (Portugal)

Store Opening

Finally our cruelty-free store big opening!

The idea of creating this store became of the difficulty i felt as a consumer in finding general products free of cruelty i needed in a daily basis.

As you already know supermarkets and regular stores are full of cruel cosmetics, hygiene products, etc.

So i gathered information about all the brands and i selected those i found to be effective and with high quality standards at a reasonable price.
Note that i only recommend and resell the brands which i truly believe fulfill these requirements.

The prices are the one's recommended by each brand, no more, no less.
And the shipment is according to the post office price list.

New products will be added in a regular base and i would love to receive news from you regarding the products you acquire.

Don't forget to follow us here, on twitter or facebook to receive our news!

What price are you willing to pay for beauty?

12€? 120€? 1200€? ... what if it costs a thousand lives?

Part of Jacqueline Traide's performance art for Lush, aimed at drawing attention to the cruelty of animal testing. Photograph: Lush

That's right, in order for people to use their make-up and beauty products millions of animals suffer cruel tests on labs maintained behind bars just living to get applied several ingredients in their skin, eyes, tongue, etc which cause them a lot of pain and sometimes they even get the final mix of ingredients which is a lot worst, this being the most painful of the tests.
Can you live with that price in your conscious? Can you live knowing that animals which should be living their lives in their natural habitat are in fact living in a lab without never see the light of the day?

Maybe people think there's nothing that they can do but it is a lie. Some just prefer the easy way, to say "what a horrible thing to do" and go on with their life's. Well, I can't live a lie, I can't live knowing that cruel human beings are sub-judging other animals.

Organized groups like ALF free these animals from the cages in secret and not legal operations and ask people to do the same. In Italy, in a regular day activists and people in general invaded a lab where hundreds of beagles were cruel being used in tests.
But maybe some people don't have the time or the courage to do that. To these people i ask at least don't buy any beauty product in supermarkets or perfumeries, places where 90% of the products or 100% are tested on animals. On the contrarie buy them online at non cruel shops. This isn't difficult to do is it? Is there too much to ask?

Ask me for non-cruel brands. I will gladly help you. Why? Just because I don't believe my life is more important than other's animals lives and I believe that we must speak out for those who cannot speak for themselves.

The other big question is: are non-cruel beauty products made with natural ingredients effective? I can tell you in the first person that I have used both. In the past when I wasn't aware of tests conducted in animals I used cruel brands. I thought the transition would be difficult for my skin, that cruelty-free products would not make the desired effect.
I was wrong, natural products are so or as much effective as cruel one's.
I felt my skin more healthy than ever and there are products for all age groups and skin types. I can tell you there are successful products used by celebrities which make a lifting to your skin for just 180€ a bottle.
Just to say that this thought is no longer an excuse for those who need one. Lack of time isn’t an excuse either because you can shop online. Price?  No way, you can find non-cruelty products for every purse!

So. let's do what's right and just buy cruelty-free!

I am counting on you. Share your stories with me about how you accomplished this mission :)

Cruel Supermarkets, Markets and Stores

In the past when i went to the supermarket i tried to find a cruelty-free toothpaste, shampoo, gel wash, soap, depilatory wax, etc.

In time i learned that no beauty or personal product at the supermarket is cruelty-free.
The same about companion animal care and general household care.

Then i have found the same about perfumeries and that natural products providers (ex: Body Shop) start being bought by Cruel Companies (ex: L'Oreal). At this point i understood that everything is organized for us to be cruel. The remain question is why.

As someone told me there are three things difficult to change: " the power of money, women's vanity and men's stupidity".

If you think that you are being manipulated just in the supermarket, you're wrong. Take a good look at your cloth and your computer. You will find "made in China" even if you are boycotting China.

Why don't Europe and U.S.A. forbid China, Japan and Korea to provide them anything until they haven't cruel conducts? why aren't supermarkets obligated to provide also sections of cruelty-free products? Because that does not give them money. And it is all about money.

Until people demand it, they won't care.
There is no need to be an activist for human, animal or Planet rights to be a good citizen. As part of being a good citizen is also the duty of stop buying cruel products and start demanding non-cruel one's.

If we all stop buying right now and compromise looking at PETA's list before buying anything we are moving forward a successful future.

You will find in this PETA's link a section at your right named "Search for cruelty-free companies and markets". Please use this link before you buy shoes, cloth, food, personal care products, etc. Certify yourself that you buy only what is respectful towards your Planet and all living animals.
Remember that you can find the same coat or toothpaste at a non-cruel company but you will never be able to replace a human or animal life...

A store is being created for you in this area too. Soon you will find several products you daily need in here. They all belong to Cruelty-Free Companies listed in PETA.

See you in the next post!

ReGaRdS :)

An activist at the Supermarket

It's crazy to shop at local stores, you just find cruel brands and companies, it is like being in the center of the animal torture universe!

Murdered animals everywhere, cheap and cruel cosmetics made with animal suffering and human beings exploitation, biologic yogurt's that belong to cruel  companies, garlic from China! i mean, as an activist, i feel nausea's from being there!

If you check each product you will see that some of the vegetables and fruits come already from Countries like China, Japan or Korea, the worst ever in animal and human being exploitation. Also, if you pay attention you will see these two top brand monsters everywhere: Unilever and Proctor & Gamble.

If you think a brand does not conduct tests on animals just because it said so you're wrong. You will have the biggest surprise ever when you check PETA's list. I gave you some examples: Nivea, Caudalie (in pharmacies) and L' Occitane stated their worries and ethics but they conduct tests. How do you explain L'Occitane making products with natural ingredients, with respect for nature, selling their products to China and saying they have nothing to do with the tests on animals they conduct there? Zero tolerance for all of them.

I say we buy nothing, zero from these brands. I say we just shop vegetables, fruit and vegetarian food at the supermarket. The other things if you don't have a cruelty-free market around my advice is to buy online.
It's easy and you will feel good by doing the right thing.

For things to change, Countries must have strong laws to protect animals, supermarkets must be ethic and provide non-cruelty brands but this only will happen if people stop buying, ask local stores to have other brands, stop eating meat and do an effort to became a vegetarian.

Do you have a cruelty-free supermarket where you live?
what do you do daily to stop cruelty on animals and change the world for better? Share it! your actions will certainly contribute to keep all of us activists inspired

See what’s new!

That is why

As an activist and consumer is not always easy to shop around.

I find myself asking: where can i buy non-cruelty products? why is it so difficult to find brands that respect animals in the supermarket? where can i easily find everything in the same place? or, is this brand still reliable?

In here, i am going to tell you in the first person the answers to these questions.
I am going to shop with you, provide you all the required information and even compare which product is better and why.

We also will have recent news in this field, celebrities that support animal welfare and freedom, delicious recipes, a store with cruelty-free & natural products and an ads area. Feel free to explore them all!

This space is ours, lets have fun helping the animals!
